Bob, here's what I used.
Don't know about the newer models, but my 2010 does have a vertical adjustment screw. See attached pic.136726
I had the SRC system in my C3 helmet and also had pairing issues. The early models also had problems with small internal wires breaking. The self contained concept is nice, but the other problems...
It's been a while since I did this (2010), but if I remember correctly,http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=123864&stc=1 I tapped the hole 1/4-28 and installed an internal...
I run mine at 32psi, and they seem to wear pretty evenly across the tread.
I've been running 22 psi in the original front tires of my 2010 RT. I have 28,000 aggressive miles on them, and they look almost like new. I have been running 32 psi in my rears (Kenda, Kuhmo,...
Lately I've been getting a clank/clack on the rebound side of my rear shock. I have no evidence of the shock bottoming out, but it does occur on the rebound. When the Spyder is unloaded, if I push...
I have 28k on the original front tires of my 2010 RT, running 22psi... and they still look "new".
Once the fronts are up on the ramps, jack under the center frame member towards the rear. You will notice a hole approximately 1/2" in diameter just ahead of where the frame member starts to curve,...
If you're going to work on these itsy, bitsy pins for the radio plug, then this is the tool you need to properly crimp the connectors. This tool will work with wire sizes 12 through 26, and most...
I find the OEM front tires to be fine. I've got 25k+ on mine, and they should last to at least 35k. I've run them at 22psi from the start.
Sears sells a very nice "T" handled ratchet set that includes Torx™ bits.

I could almost SMELL your frustration; you'd start into a turn lined up real nice... and then have to play dodgeball with those that didn't know why they were there... :gaah: [/QUOTE]

Bob, I know where the apex is, but it's hard to hit when you've got drivers on both sides that are just puttering along and daydreaming. I spent most of the time looking in the mirrors. :banghead:...
Here's some video I shot at Barber Motorsports last year. During one of our events, SRA-TVC was able to get 5 laps on the Barber track in conjunction with another group.

Eric, I'm on my second Kuhmo. I ran the first a little over 15k... could have run a couple thousand more, but changed it for a long trip. I'm running them at 32 psi and they wear much flatter than...
Amen! It's no big deal.
Three things can affect rear wheel alignment...
1.Engine/drive sprocket axis.
2.Rear fork pivot axis.
3. Rear wheel axis.
In a perfect world, all 3 should be perpendicular to the frame center...
I agree. I've kept mpg records for three years and 25,000 miles... 31.64 mpg. That's riding one up and 50% interstate. I have had a couple of tanks that register in the upper 30's, but that has...
I'm certainly not against a laser alignment procedure. I was addressing the statement about the rear wheel being 5/8" out of track. If your Spyder is that much out of track, there are other issues...
Hmmmm, I don't know what they're referring to when they said 5/8" out of alignment on the rear wheel. The rear swing arm is on a single pivot, and the axle/wheel are aligned with the sprocket on...
Herein lies the key... understanding, and respect! :2thumbs:
I had the dealer replace my airbag back in 2010, at which time they installed the new 90º fitting. The airbag continued to leak after the replacement, so I wound up removing the whole assembly...
In my case I have an RT A/C which does not have the rear speakers installed. The wiring connectors are there, so it's easy to tap into them for the LOC inputs. Adjusting the bias toward the rear...
Here’s the system I used to get the audio signal from my RT to my Sena headset. This method allows any installed component (radio, iPod, GPS, etc.) to be heard in your helmet, and controlled from...

Make sure you have your visor all the way down and locked/snapped shut. Some visors allow water to run down from the top in behind the visor if they are not closed all the way.
