• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Zumo 660 Touratech Locking Mount

lawrenc454

RT-S PE#0803
Installed and there are a couple of things I have done differently. One it comes with bolts and brackets for a bar mount which I took off. I added a second set of rubber bushings between the two plates so that I didn't lock it down too tightly. The Zumo mount fits perfectly and the four holes through it and the Touratech mount are perfectly aligned but if you tighten the four screws too much you might misalign the the upper and lower plates (experience from a previous mount on another bike - isn't leanring great). Will modify my Sun Shade tonight to work with the mount.

Which Touratech mount did you use? Product number? Thanks.

Touratech 660 Mount

Let me make a suggestion. I figured out how to set up the Touratech mount that would ensure the Zumo sits far enough out to allow easy access to the key lock.

TEST THE TOURATECH MOUNT WITH THE ZUMO BEFORE YOU BOLT DOWN ON THE SPYDER (MY FIRST ONE DIDN'T WORK). iF IT IS BOLTED DOWN AND THE ZUMO IS LOCKED IN IT YOU WILL BE UPSET AND VERY UNREASONABLE.:D:yikes::D:yikes::D:yikes:

If it all works follow the steps below. I have included some photos of the finished installation. Let me know if you need help.

1. Go to your local hardware store and buy 4 1/4-3/8" steel bushings. See the photo -- they are up against a plate that sits on the Can-Am Zumo mount.
2. Take the top plate and Zumo holder off of the top of the Touratech mount by taking out the 4 screws that go into the rubber bushings.
3. Take the back portion of the Touratech mount and put the four screws from the Can-Am kit through washers and through the Touratech mount through the bushings you purchased through the rectangular plate and into the Can-Am Zumo mount. Don't overtighten.
4. Take the black Zumo mount and mount it to the Touratech top portion and secure it with the bolts and nyloc nuts supplied by Touratech.
5. Take the assembled upper assembly and reattach it to the 4 rubber bushings with the original screws. Don't overtighten.
6. Put the key in the lock and flip the lever on the back of the Touratech mount and lift the top of the lid.
7. Install the Zumo and lock it down.

660 vs 665

I still trying to decide whether to go with the 660 or wait for the 665. I certainly am attracted to the ability to have real time tracking of weather. On the other hand, the 665 cost bumps up pretty dramatically. Happy with your 660?

660 or 665

If you can buy the mount and integrated wiring system than skip the 660 would have been my decision if I knew what I know today but I'm happy with my 660. Lonnie

Does the touratech come with the bracket that bolts to the handle bars and to the back of the touratect? :dontknow: I have a non BRP Zumo 660 that I want to mount on my RT...
