• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have the zumo 590 on my 2015 rt Ltd. We often ryde with a group someone else planned out. Is there a way to track and save a ryde after the ride is done? I was able to do it with the 660.
Thanks for the help.

how did you do it with the 660?

All the Garmins I have owned have had an option to turn on tracking. If you have that enabled, you can connect the GPS to your computer and using BaseCamp download the track to your computer and save it as a route. IIRC the GPS will save something like 7 days worth of tracks.

AS long as you have tracking turned on on the 590 it will track. When you connect it to the computer and Basecamp, the ridden track will show up on your device. You can save it and I believe convert it to a route.

Update

O.k., yes I imported it from tracks and saved it. It was a great ryde on Thursday, 178 miles, didn't want to lose it. Thanks again!:clap::yes:

I would really like to save some of my tracks. I've tried and want to use Basecamp. However, it insists on installing on my C: drive which is a SSD and only 60G. I have very few G left on it. Garmin and their forums have been no help. There are supposedly ways to install on other drives but I have not been able to accomplish any. Almost every other piece of software I've used has allowed installation on other drives. Garmin's answers are, 'well that's the way it is'. :dontknow:

Have you tried to load first Garmin Express and then Basecamp on an external hard drive? Although I can't be certain because I have only my phone today during the install you should be given the option to change the default install drive and folder. Do not know for sure.
