Saw the full piece on the news. The guy left Walmart with the gun. He discharged the weapon while running down the street.

The news article mentioned that had he not been clipped with the squad car, the next phase would have been officers discharging their weapons.

The officer--this time--was exonerated.

I think we are in a big round of "bait the officer" scenarios. People are now coming out of the woodwork concerning suing the police department.

Sad to see.

In this case it is as simple as deadly force against deadly force. Gun, knife, PR24 impact in red zones, 2x4, or squad car--all deadly force.

I was giving that a LOT of thought as well...
The Officer at warp three thumbup probably felt that the first Officer was just reporting in, and watching: not actually doing anything... When a criminal is shooting a rifle in a neighborhood; you REACT... you don't have time to think about it... :2thumbs:

Criminals have rights...to break the law! Amazing! Cop says don't get out of the car; stay here. Guy runs. Cop shoots. DUH! Just sad cops are such poor shots! "Stop or I'll shoot". Then shoot. Period. Dead criminal. Running just made you a felon. A criminal. Criminals get shot. What is so hard to understand? I liked the car trick, sure stopped that criminal from shooting anybody else! Nice job!

As a hit & run victim 2012,i have something to say on matter! The driver was a DUI thief stealing scrap metal when spotted me, & then tried to run me down rather than being caught fyi! The guilty try to justify by doing more wrong. Dont give them the chance. Wild west rules (45 in every hand) play nice.
