This happened a while back but got around to fixing it today after testing the new Fox shocks. Without the baffle it is louder. So heres the situation....after doing some maintenance on the spyder I fired her up and heard a chinkling sound. Out of the corner of my eye I see a ring type object rolling away and a different sound from the exhaust. For those that installed the baffle you know what it looks like.
its the ring pipe and allen bolt. The cotter clip is the solution. The allen fell out, the ring blew out of the muffler and the pipe slid down in the muffler. So a longer allen with a hole drilled in the tip and a cotter clip to keep it from backing out and blowing out on the road is one solution.
now reinstalled all is right in my world...
