• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I just made my first "real" ride on my 2014 RT Ltd. To those of you waiting for us to Prove the new model, you are missing something very nice. The only similarity in this and my 2012 is the outward appearance! And I am one of those who never had any problem whatsoever with my Spyder. I only got to ride about 150 miles and now only have about 230 miles, but now I can hardly wait to ride more. I wish we still had the adjustable shocks, because I need a stiffer spring, but at this point that is it. MPG is definitely better for me, but I will have to wait to determine exactly what it is.

Anyway, fantastic!

Glad to hear that the weather is co-operating with you! :2thumbs:
What kinds of roads have you been prowling with it?
Is the extra weight noticeable?

Update - roads and mpg

Today is our 59th wedding anniversary so I had to cut and run earlier. Bob, the roads I was on today were mostly "back roads". Depending on the state they would be called county roads and/or farm roads. So they were twisty, up and down, and not much traffic for the most part. In my mind, good motorcycle roads. I had a super good time. My first tank mpg was 34.7. I never got that much from my 2012, I mean not once. About 33 was the best in it. And to top that I ran faster today than I ever did before on the same route. Now in fairness, this may be due to riding solo rather than with another bike. I had more fun today than I have had on a bike since my heart attack two years ago. Still elated.

ETA Bob, I did not notice the weight. I declare this handles better than my 2012!

Wow was my first thought when I rode one the first time too! Can't wait until Saturday when we pick ours up.
Enjoy and ride safe!
