• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yesterday my wife and I rode our 2013RT SE5 to our dealer to pick up a new helmet I ordered. We rode home with my new helmet on a Champagne Metallic 2017 RT LTD SE6. Still not sure how all that happened. After the test ride there was no going back. So, goodby to Ol Yellow Bird, we had some wonderful 22,000 plus mi on it(including Valcourt). So with 128 mi on the 2017, we're newbies again, learning new sounds and shifting points of the 1330, plus it came with the Zumo 550 gps to learn. I was using a Zumo 660 that went with the 2013. I was weaned on the 998 high rpm roar so the 1330 sounds quieter and smoother but to my ears has kind off a clatterly sound, reminds me of a quiet diesel Mercedes. And I find myself running up the rpms to get to the 998 sweet spot. Got old habits to unlearn. We'll get it in time. Exciting times ahead, looking forward to many fun miles. Just had to share.

No one pays attention !!!

Test rydes are expensive...congrats on the new ryde..:2thumbs: you will get the hang of it in a short time...enjoy... and that expensive helmet..:yikes:

When I took my first test ride I was trying to decide which arm and leg I could get by without the easiest!:ohyea: It's a good thing my wife was there to bring me back to reality!nojoke

Sounds a little more "clattery", because the rest of it is quiet enough to let you hear it.
You'll love it, the 1330 is great. Ryde Safe.

whaaaaa !

:yikes: hahahahaa good thing you did not stop at the " Maserati auto dealer ship " :roflblack: ! did you get a pretty good trade in price for you older cycle ? as of late , we are kind of looking at the idea , maybe a newer one with the radio package with intercom , buttons and bells ... congratulations on the new baby ... :p

Funny how that happens

In May my wife and I went to our dealer on our 2012 RT-S (37,000 miles) to get her a new set of rain pants, and we came home with a 2017 champagne RT-S. My wife has an expensive pair of rain pants, and you have an expensive helmet. We now have over 3,000 miles on the new bike (had the initial service on Friday) and are headed out for a ride today to Castle in the Clouds in Moultonborough, NH. Weather looks perfect. 46 deg at sunrise, headed into the upper 70s this afternoon.

:congrats: Those test rides can be both fun and dangerous to the pocketbook.

Glad to hear you are liking the 1330. It just gets better. Think of that "clatter" as a big diesel engine with low torque just ready for you to express your wishes.:yes:

Great photos of the baby(babieeees) Youngers. The trade in allowance was $13,300 and there was 22,400 mi on the bike. Don'.t know how great that is but the deal was affordable. I think that's in KBB range.

:congrats: I can see me doing that in a few years, that clatter noise on mine usually means its time to shift up. At least that's what I have noticed, but I'm still a newb. :nopic:

i hope your new helmet matches the bike otherwise you will have to order another one and you know what happens next
