On thursday, my riding club joined with hundreds of other bikers to escort a beam from the world trade center to brown city, michigan. apparently, 100 cities across the country were given the opportunity to receive a piece of the wreckage. the brown city michigan fire department will be building a monument to the fallen fire fighters using this beam that was transported by flatbed truck to michigan. this was an extrodinarily moving experience, fire fighters saluting from the overpasses, the last 5 miles or so the oncoming-traffic stopped out of respect, townspeople stood out in the rain to welcome a little piece of history to their hometown. the atmosphere was amazing...here is a little piece of video of the beam and all the bikes arriving in brown city.....at about 2:10 you will see me on my red spyder....(2 spyders in this huge pack) anyway just wanted to share (by the way world news tonite is doing a documentary about these small towns across america...don't know when it will air but just an fyi
