• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wondering how to jack up Front tire to test for a leak? Any ideas/help?

I have a slow leak in a front tire and was wondering how to jack up the front tire to take it off and in to a shop?
I can’t find a leak in the tire or the valve stem, so I might have cracked the rim.

I would recommend to break the lug nuts loose first. Then jack up and support the left front or which ever wheel has the suspect leak. I jack under the center, you may want to go a little more forward to "tilt" the front up to support it better. Mix some dish soap and water. Lay the tire flat and pour some of your mix around the bead, or if you can find one, use a spray bottle. You'll probably need to put like 25 or 30 lb of air in it. Look it over slowly for maybe something that got broken off in the tread lines.

If the info posted above doesn't specifically help you sort out exactly what you wanted to know, or if you've already found another thread that you thought might help only it didn't, you can always check out one or more of the 'Similar Threads' listed below the 'Post Reply' box at the bottom of each thread page to see if there's anything in there that might help; but it's generally best to always search first. ;)

If you're looking for info on where to place the jack, or even on what type of jack to use, try typing 'jack' into the search field (look for the 'Search' button, up toward the top right of the page, where it says 'Search'); check the box below that field which is labelled 'Search titles only'; then click on the blue 'Search' box to submit your search. Once the results page paints up, read thru the list of titles on that results page to see which threads are likely going to help you the most, then select and open your first chosen thread; but there's a fair bit of advice on the Forum already, so you might want to read thru a few of the resulting threads before resorting to start a new thread, or you can try refining your keywords/phrases for the search to narrow it down a bit if you like. :sneaky:

If you don't get any results from your first attempt at searching, then you can vary or add to the keyword entered, or maybe try still using the word 'jack', only leaving the 'Search titles only' button un-checked, but do remember that there's very little about Spyders/Rykers that hasn't been at least touched upon since the Forum started back in 2008 or so, meaning that searching all text rather than just titles first usually returns sooo much in the way of results that it's difficult to choose what to read first. But you should get some results! And don't forget to check out the 'Similar threads' in any thread you do open.(y)

Good Luck!

Thanks doing it right now
