• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Love it, Pete.
I have fun tracking items as they zig zag across the USA- then it "lands" in Melbourne or Sydney and goes into the tracking black-hole and totally disappears for the next ten days or so... Then finally one day I get a little card telling me to go to the post office to pick it up - it doesn't matter how small the package is, no effort is made to deliver to my address. Very third-world!
 
Actually Lois, I reckon most third world countries would do better'n Aust Post!!

The processes the Sorting & Delivery bods here get forced to follow seem designed to slow the whole thing down, & just about every Postie I know has a 'pet peeve' and a valid solution to at least one of the bottlenecks in the our Mail System - but are they ever even asked or their input sought??? Not on your nellie!! Aust Post has one of those 'Continuous Quality Improvement Systems in place that's the pet project of some upper management wallies, so THAT has become more important than actually doing the job!! Continuous UN-Improvement Systems at their best!! :shocked: :banghead: :banghead:
 
If those parts went that route from Hawaii to Loisville Kentucky, that's crazy.

In years past I have shipped millions of dollars of merchandise internationally. Regardless if it I should Canada, Israel, Britain, or Japan it can have some huge delays. It matters not if it is entering the USA or leaving it, Customs here or there can really make a mess of it. :banghead:

We were shipping electronic components and boy can customs officials get critical. Now, when you think about shipping several rare earth magnets, creating strong or weak energy fields, well now you are really suspicious. We sometimes depending on the world's activities would encounter rour to six weeks of delays and there is NOTHING that you can do about it. :banghead:

I am am just saying, eventually it gets done, patience is a virtue.
