Wiring on 2011 RT Ltd. for trailer

I just bought an aftermarket hitch. Now I need to think about wiring. Wondering what I need to get the job done. I've been reading a lot of posts here on this subject and it's easy to get confused. (I'm also getting old!)
Is there an aftermarket harness available?
Can I just make my own harness and connect into the tail lights?
What does the module in the BRP harness do?
Sorry if you've answered all of this before.
The trailer I'm looking at has a 4 pin flat plug and the lights are LED.
I don't need an expensive trailer as it will only be used once or twice per year.
I'm looking at this trailer because it has an aluminum frame / 12" wheels and torsion bar suspension.

They say they sell an adaptor harness with a flat 4 pin connector for $99.00 including shipping.

Sounds like what I need.

If you choose to fabricate your own wiring, you will need a converter to change the Spyder's 5-wire system (separate turn signals) to a 4-wire system (combined brake/turn lights). These are normally known as 5-to-4 or 3-to-2 converters. You should use one that is rated to use with LEDs, just in case. Hopkins makes a good one. These are available at a trailer shop, RV store, tractor supply, or many big box stores. The wiring colors in the Spyder are not standard, so you will need to trace and test wires or obtain a wiring diagram from a shop manual. Shop manuals are available online for a reasonable price. if the hitch manufacturer has a harness, it might be a good alternative. For either you will need to find a place to run the pigtail out of the bodywork. The factory harness makes such a provision.

It is not easy, however if you are handy with the tupperware, and possess a healthy dose of patience then it can be done.

I just spoke with them and yes they do have a converter for 99.99
