• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Wirering a RS for a trailer.

I have searched the threads for how to wire a RS for a trailer, and was hoping to find a DIY post but could not. I have found that the wire colors are: Rt Rear Turn Signal = Brown/Yellow, Lf Rear Turn Signal = Gray/Pink,Running Lights = Orange, Brake Lights = White, and Ground = Black. My question is do I need anything else? I have read before something about a Hopkins (?) adapter, but have no clue as to what it is. Nor, where to get it. I am sure I can find one online, but need to make sure I am getting the right parts. So, if anyone can post for me a complete list of parts, and instructions on how to install I would really appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

I wired my 2009 GS SE5 with the RT hitch..It depends on your trailer on how you wire it..If your trailer has separate lenses for the turn signals and brake lights like mine did,you need a 5 wire flat converter from hopkins..If your trailer does not have separate signals/brake light, then you need a 4 wire flat converter from hopkins...I actually installed a 4 wire before I got my trailer, then decided I wanted separate signals/brake lamps,so I ran a 5th wire just for my brake lights and fused it around my converter...http://www.etrailer.com/question-30481.html?fb=yes try this link for converters, and also questions I asked etrailer.com..They are awesome when you ask them for information or help...

Also,Nancystoy is the wiring guru on here..You might also message him with specifics..he helped me a lot

I think I need the four wire flat Hopkins then, as the light has a single bulb (1157) and and 4-pin (3 male, 1 female) plug. Thank you for the link.
