• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Winter riding

I had posted previously that spyder does poorly on snow, fishtails. I just ordered a set of "MV snow claws" which i will try next snowfall. Company is in germany. Google that name and you will find the web site. Anyone tried these? Gonna get them primarily for insurance in case snow falls while I'm at work. I like winter riding and not much snow on Saint Louis this year.

Those are kind of neat. Since chains are not legal in Michigan, I wonder if you could get away with those "claws".

My question is whether they make them wide enough to fit the Spyder tire. Let us know how they work out.

I remember my dad had some strange looking thing that looked like what's in this picture which he strapped on our family car when roads get snowy. The strap always gets wrapped around itself and next to impossible to remove once twisted. I can imagine that metal buckle do some damage to Spyder's rim when you spin the tire.

I don't think so. Look closely there's rubber to protect the rim. And the thing looks secure to me. Other forum for motorcycles had a few good reviews of it. But I could be wrong....
