• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Windshield and wind guard options for 2016 F3-T

We've called CanAm and were told that there isn't an adjustable windshield for our F3T. We tried a tallboy windshield and the wind seemed worse. This is the only complaint we have about our F3T-SE6. At the time of purchase, this was our most comfortable option as hubby needs to be able to adjust the foot pegs based on knee pain.

We are interested in any accessories, parts or mods to increase wind resistance. Brrrr!! Thanks in advance.

Contact Don at F4 Customs. They make awesome W/S's for our Spyders. They are also a sponsor of this site. :firstplace: Tom :spyder:

Have the tall boy. F4 not available at spyderfest. I took an x stream extender off my Honda. It is adjustable and worked good for me. Had planned to get an F4 when they came out but I had a tribute to my grand daughter engraved on the tall boy so I stayed with the X stream. Also cheaper alternate. Could hear radio much better and wind and rain protection better on recent long trip. I also have Bailey wind wings. At Spyderfest F4 personnel took a long look at my F3T L to plan the new windshield. Very thought out.

The Tall Boy is tall enough. It's angle is it's downfall. I've been working on shimming it into a more vertical position. I've got it to where it's about 50% better but it still needs work.

Went with the 23 inch F4 windshield on mine. works great. Less wind buffeting than on my 2014 RT. I am 6 feet tall and like to look over the top so F4 customs recommended the 23 inch and it works great. Lovin the F3T ;);)

I put a show chrome touring shield on mine. I’m 5’10” and can see over the top fine. The air flow is smooth and is a world of difference over stock. Finally feels like a touring bike and I can hear the radio now!

Hi.
Could you tell me the distance between the gas cap and the top edge of the windshield higth? I would like to know that fact because I am 168 cm tall and I want to see if I would still see above the windshield and because ShowChrome imports to Europe.
Thank you.

I have the F4 25" with the hand wind wings added. Awesome windshield. No buffeting. I'm 5'9" 30" inseam. I look thru the windshield about 1-2" below top. Very tough windshield too. The best you can buy.

I installed the MadStad and love it! Love the adjust-ability. You can go from as much wind as you want to full protection and best of all you can adjust it exactly to your size and liking. Took a few rides to get it right but now it's perfect for me. No, I'm not a MadStad rep; just a fan. :ohyea:

I had the same problem you are having. The Tall Boy didn't work for me at all. You are right, it was worse. I went with the 23 inch F4, with a vent. (It's what I had on my Gold Wing, and I loved it.) Add the F4 hand wings, which make a huge difference. Close everything, and you have great wind protection. Adjust the hand wings, and vent, and you have lots of cooling, when needed. I'm 6'4", and like to look over the windscreen. Great setup.

+ 1 for F4 Customs. I installed a medium with the wings on my F3L and could not be happier. Not sure an adjustable screen would be significantly better.
