• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Because you are using them...Quit using them and VOILA! They won't squeek anymore!

Hey! Am I good or WHAT!? :doorag:

Or you can greese them up. Better still get up to 60 miles per hour and really lay down on the brakes.. you might want to do this a couple of times. Hopefully you will do this in a safe area and hopefully it solves your squeak.

what's that going to do? :dontknow:

It beds the brakes and dries out the pads, and it does work. Works best with clean rotors, though. Use some CRC Brake-Kleen first. A good, hard application of the brakes periodically, combined with regular cleaning, will resolve most of your squealing brake woes.

Did they do the brake quiet treatment to the back of your new pads? I think that make a big difference in brake squeal.

Here's a link to a product i've tried, seems to work well.I'm not sure how long between applications but you just spray it right on the rotors in a light mist then burnish the brakes a couple times.http://www.kleenflo.com/en/index.htm
go to brake products and then" Brake In" the products called.

Its because spyders like to keep moving rather than stop :D

No seriously mine squeek too even with the new pads and anti squeek stuff. The way i get it to stop is do a hard stop and that should take care of it for a while unless your in stop n go traffic then it comes back till you get moving again. This is just my findings on the new pads

I tried the CRC brake de-squeak stuff--- works for about 5 days - so pretty much worthless in my opinion. Also makes the brakes basically useless for the first 15-20 stops after application... so be careful.

4-5 high speed (60+) hard stops every few weeks seems to keep the squeaks away. I do this and then let the brakes cool down for 10-15 minutes.

I did this as per Scotty's suggestion...it works...squeaking down quite a bit!!! Slammed brakes going about 45-50 mph...what a rush...does do the trick though...

Mine seems to get a loud squeel going in reverse, even pushing it back:helpsmilie:
Yep! The CRC Disk Brake Quiet applied to the backs of the (removed) pads is probably the best cure for that one. BRP has acknowledged the problem, in our case, but offers no solution.

What do you consider a hard brake stop.?? Jamm'n them suckers down to a skid ,or just brake hard while coming to a stop.? Which works best?

With ABS there really shouldn't be much skidding. Brace yourself and brake as if you are doing an emergency stop.
