Who is going to SITR(Spyders in the Redwoods)

I was wondering who and when people were heading south to SITR. I plan on leaving Washington on Friday afternoon and planning to get a room somewhere past Portland. I would sure love to go with YA ALL Bruce! and would if I were in Salem, Or. at this time........ but as luck would have it I am still in VN.

At the current rate of decay of the surroundings, I will be planning my arrival in USA somewhere in Sept. But don't quote me at this point.

With all things said, I do hope in the near future I can join the group for a ryde in the Redwoods!

I am currently planning on it however...

I am on my third person to connect with. Both others were unable to make it. I live in McKinleyville, CA by Hwy 299...which is under major construction and it is 104 - 116 enroute and in Redding, CA. For me - I need to go Hwy 101 to Hwy 20 across to Yuba City/Marysville and then down to Sacramento on Hwy 99 (possibly) or I-5 then to Sonora. It will be very hot and I may be traveling alone (not sure). Not used to the heat...a real adventure for sure. If it remains so hot...I may have to cancel my trip. Husband works fires and lightening expected inland this week so he may not go to SITR. Not sure where you are but avoid Hwy 299 at all costs. If there was a way to connect with you, I would certainly like that. I will register when I get to SITR but have hotel reservations made.
