There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Which New battery for my 900 Ryker Sport?
Hi, I want to fit a new battery to my Ryker 900.

Can someone please tell me which battery to buy?

I have looked in search but just get battery problems.

I think the battery is Made by Yuasa, but which one please?

Your owner's manual should list the battery size. My '23 Ryker Rally manual (page 166) shows a HTX14L-FA battery, that's a Haijiu battery manufactured in China (I believe). So for a Yuasa it should be a YTX14L-BS. Or you could pull your old one and verify.

Hope that helps.

So, unless someone here has some info, you are going to have to search for a battery equivalent to HTX14L-FA or YTX14L-BS but with higher specs. Both are rated at 12 AH and the Yuasa is 200 CCA. Dimensions are 6" x 3 7/16" x 5 3/4" or 150mm x 87mm x 145mm. I haven't had any battery issues. I do keep mine on a battery tender when its not going be used in a while. When it's time to replace I will go with a Yuasa which I have had good luck with over the years on two wheels.

Ideally, if you're not going Lithium, you'll want a minimum of 350 CCA and 21 A/hr capacity. And you need to make sure that whatever battery you get, the battery is initialised and CHARGED fully (8 hours on a 2 amp charger) BEFORE it is installed!!

Only don't necessarily trust a dealer/battery retailer who sells you one off the shelf and says they've already done that! :cautious:Unless you get to wait at least those 8 hours of necessary charging after you've ordered it, then it's pretty doubtful they really have, and you'll be the one paying the penalty, either thru needing to replace a prematurely failing battery earlier than expected, or the new battery won't ever do the job properly and may cause all sorts of issues! 😖
