There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Which Engine "MODE" For Towing?

Just finished the wiring and hitch hook-up my trusty Bushtec Trailer to my 2017 RT. Question ... when towing my Bushtec should I use the "eco" mode or regular more? Would the "eco" mode still help my gas mileage? Would towing power be substantially better with the "eco mode off" and using regular mode. Or, does it make any difference? Maybe this address in the owners manual ... but I can't seem to find it? Thanks in advance for your input! HerbU

It really doesn't matter...

Which ever mode you want. Try them both and see which one you like the best and use that one. ECO doesn't seem to save a lot of folks that much gas millage, however others say they get a couple more MPG. Most comments refer to responsiveness. They prefer not using ECO because of the stronger response and higher torque they get in regular mode. It's all up to you, towing in either mode will not hurt spyder one way or the other.

Depends...

As mentioned above, the savings are minimal at best. If you want to use it I would recommend only on the freeway and long level roads. On the off highway mountain roads I would stick with the regular mode. You have better control and are less likely to lug the engine and keep more in the power band...

Pre 2014 had a trailer mode. Not so on the current machines. ECO mode, as others mentioned is a JOKE. One to two mpg, IF YOU ARE LUCKY. Lesser performance because it tells you to shift quicker in the lower rpm ranges.

My favorite rant: since it has presented itself again.

GIVE ME BACK THE ELECTRONIC TRUNK RELEASE. KEEP YOUR STINKIN ECO MODE. :roflblack::roflblack:

I thought that "I" did the shifting (up) regardless of the ECO setting ?? :dontknow:

If you are waiting for the bike to up-shift on it's own, I would think that your gas mileage would be really BAD. :roflblack:
