Several weeks ago I had ryden the :spyder2: to work one morning. When I got to work all was fine with Fang. I place the kool-shade over the mirror stalks and the signals in the rear and went in to work.
After work I removed the shade and left for the ryde home about 5 minutes into my ryde home I glanced in my right mirror and low and behold the actual mirror was gone????
As luck would have it I was just down the road from my dealer so I stopped in and checked on getting it fixed. I was told I would have to purchase the entire stalk, signal lights and mirror assembly as they are not sold separately - $150 :yikes:.
So I road the spyder home and parked it thinking about the situation and the cost involved to fix this problem. I spoke with some of my fellow spyder ryders in the area - I contacted a glass company.
Was able to get another mirror cut and replaced it for $10. :clap:
Have only ryden short rydes because the weather here has been rainy or hot (heat index - 110) and since my surgery in Feb I have had a difficult time tolerating the heat.
Saturday afternoon the heat index was in the low 90's ao I took Fang out for a nice ryde - the new mirror was great but I knew I needed to replace the small 2" spot mirror I had on it before. I stopped by Advanced Auto and got a replacement - rear vision is great now.
Can't wait to get more ryding time in again on the spyder - but it going to be another rainy day today

Sabunin5 needs some new mirrors too - We are approaching the glass company and seeing he will make templates so we don't have to keep taking the adjuster off the spyder to have the mirror cut. I will let you know how this goes Thanks to Bohannon Glass in Cantonment Fl for the great job with the mirror.
