• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Not had my Spyder RT Limited long and the previous owner has installed an external +post to charge the battery and was wondering where to attach the negative lead? Thanks, David

At least here in Oz, all 2013 Soyders made from about mid-year on got a 'Remote Battery Terminal Block' under the LHS triangular-ish black panel below the Headlights that's exposed when you lift the frunk lid - see the pics below, click on them to enlarge them if you need to. ;)

I don't think they were on any other year of Spyder, altho they may have been on the other V-twin powered models made during the later half of 2013 & on until 2015/16 ish... Simply lift the frunk lid; pop out the push pin in the front lower corner of that black triangular-ish bit of plastic you can see in pic 1; pull the black bit forward & out toward the wheel to release the two large tabs inserted into the tupperware below the headlight & then remove it; once it's out of the way, you should be able to see the Remote Terminals as shown in pic 2 - the one closest to the middle of the bike should have a Red cap, as it's the positive terminal, and if you look for the similar tall nut out toward the tire, you'll find the negative terminal, clearly visible in pic 3.

Use them to connect any extra charge leads - you can see the tail I've installed there hanging into the frunk.

On my 2013 RTL, I plug in my maintainer to the 12V outlet in the rear trunk. Just had to move the fuse to “always on” to make this work. Been doing this 10+ years and is easy peasy to hook up after a ride!

Shoot! Had I known about this option I would have taken it. Oh well.
