• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Where is the engine serial number stamped?

Just back from trying to have my Spyder registered. Because it's used, I need to show them the VIN and the engine serial number on the bike. The VIN is easy, but does anyone know where the heck is the engine's number stamped?

:gaah:

Thanks,
Rod.

The two places the vin number are located are on the swing arm and under the lower front right A-arm. The EIN engine Identification number is near the left Rear Engine Mount, under the exhaust mount. I don't know if you can see it with out unbuttoning the left side or not. My dmv did not need to see the EIN only both VIN's:cheers:

Found it -- thanks. And, yes, all 3 panels have to come off from the left side. You'll need a light and a mirror to see behind the exhaust pipe and partially covered by the frame. If it's really dirty the numbers might be harder to see as they're only lightly stamped.
