• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

When you can't do nothing else just go for a ride

I saw my wife and son off at 4am on Saturday as they now head to CA to visit her mom and do some backbacking. I know it's a drag but we've been taking separate vacations for years and believe it or not it works out better this way. They'll be gone for about a month so I'll be getting some choice riding in. :doorag:

After they left I checked my boards and noticed SpyderLovers was down. I checked the server and it was fine so I had no idea what was going on. So then I figured it out. I have been getting notices about the domain name coming due but I was positive I took care of that so I just ignored them.:opps: Turns out once again my card didn't process so I had to resubmit it. At that point there was nothing I could do about it other than wait.:gaah:

So I decided to try the new pipe I got from No Magic and see if I could put a few miles on her. This one is 18" long sounds great with the baffle out. It's a little on the loud side but he's still working on that.

I played with my Juicebox a little more and got it running pretty good with the new pipe. I had to back some of the fuel out of the low end.

I decided to make a run of done I don't know how many time. I started off going to Hot Springs NC and hung out there a while. There was a bunch of cool bikes there and it was a great day for a ride.

From there I went to see my friend Dale Walksler at Wheels Through Time. He was going to close down the museum last year but instead decided to keep it open but only open it up five times a month. He cut a deal with the History Channel and he shoots scenes for it on the off days. I'm really happy that things are working out for Dale. He is one of the most knowledgeable and passionate motorcyclists in the world. He is living history.

When I got there we chatted a bit and then he gave me a ride in his 1918 WW1 Harley Davidson Sidecar That was a unexpected treat. :doorag:

When we got there he showed me his latest project. This was the last board track racer build by the Motor Company. It had a special built motor that was made for the hill climbers but had been modified for board track racing. Dale said this is one of the rarest motorcycles in the world. Dale is racing it next weekend and you'll be able to see the whole build and race on the History Channel soon. By the way this will do 110mph and it has no brakes. :yikes:

After leaving Dales place I headed up to Deals Gap. There was a silver Spyder when I got there but I had to use the head and when I came back out to say hey they were gone. :dontknow: There was a good group of folks there and I think I sold another Spyder for real. This guy was getting ready to get a trike for his mom and they were looking at spending 35K on one and he liked the Spyder much better anyway. They are in Ohio so maybe there will be a now member there.:doorag:

I wound up with about 350 mile that day so it was a good run. Sorry for another "Lemonster" ride story Nater1 but I love to ride and I love to share my rides with others. :doorag:

I went thru the museum last year it is really an awesome place.
Dale probably started 15 bikes as we went thru the tour. I was amazed
that he remembered all the starting sequence's for the bikes and they
all started on the first or second kick!:2thumbs:
