• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Spent monday at the hospital with dad and his hernia surgery. Got to go out Tuesday and ryde some and had plans for spaghetti dinner on wednesday with my parents and some long time friends. This morning, I noticed dads incision area pufed way out, so, back to the Dr I took him. One look and it was back into surgery for him. I think I know every inch of the local hospital by now. He is staying overnight, and hope to bring him back home tomorrow. For now, all plans for the cuba run are on hold. Some day I will get a break and make it back there.

Thanks scotty. They have great doctors here in NC. Dad is stubborn like me and its gonna be hard keeping him from doing any lifting for 2 weeks. Maybe after the second time in surgery, he will listen. .... on second thought, no he won't.:-)

Nothing is more important than family. Hope he'll be ok. Kids don't listen to dads. Dads don't listen to kids. :doorag:

I hope everything goes well for your dad, wish him a fast recovery!
"Family comes first"

Cuba is not going anywhere, we will still be here :D

Thanks for all of the good wishes. What a great bunch of people we have on here. Of to the hspital in a few hours for a visit.

Best wishes to your dad. The best road to quick and full recovery will be doing what the doctors tell him. I had my second hernia surgery last year (hence, I ride a Spyder rather than a big, heavy two wheeler). It just takes time.

You could always duct tape him to his easy chair...LOL. We are all our own worst enemies!

Have had 2 hernia surgery's myself, and my second one took me a good 5 months to feel 100% again. Make sure that he gets some quality recuperating time. ;)

Not lifting things over 5 lbs was the hardest part for me-- made it difficult to urinate....:roflblack:

Ok-- seriously though--- really gotta be careful about the lifting. Had mine done years ago and it has been great ever since-- but have him follow what the doc says and DON'T LIFT stuff!

I will'pass this on to him. Laughter is the best medicine.
