• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

In my family while growing up Dad was always in charge of the Holiday dinners.He would do a turkey,stuffing(sage),peas with pearl onions,Moms green beans,mash potatoes,gravy,home made cranberry sauce, and various pies.

Until she passed away my 1st wife and I worked together on Thanksgiving dinner. Wbith 5 kids their friends and cousins it sometimes got to be quite the herd.
Turkey (done in a roaster bag)
Brazil nut dressing
Green Peas with pearl onions
Yams
Mash Potatoes & Gravy
Cranberry sauce homemade
Cream of Wild Rice Soup (my recipe)
Carrots
Green Beans (Mom's recipe)
Pumpkin Pie
Berry Pie
Apple Pie

I love Thanksgiving. I love being with the family and I love doing a lot of the cooking and the football. The kids and grandkids come every other year and it is so much fun to see them.

With Cynthia, since she was alone for so many years she is used to doing the thanksgiving dinner and we have continued that. Now I just fix my Brazil nut dressing and the cream of wild rice soup. I may smoke a little cheese this year. I never tried that before.

I choose to go to my favorite NY steak house. While they offer a turkey dinner, I always choose their steak. Yum!

No time quite as wonderful as family time!
