• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What's with my gas mileage?

My question is the following: I purchased a 2016 F3T with only 3500 miles on it. I am only getting 30 mpg and I believe that I should be getting at least 35 mpg. My 2014 RT limited is getting 34 mpg. So, any assistance would be great! Thanks

Just did 300+ miles today 2up. 65 mph down hill and 60 on the flat and up hill. All (mountain) freeway and the two fill ups were 40 mpg and 42 mpg. Never exceeded 65 mph.

If you got the North American model, you would have the 89 tooth rear pulley. It takes away some of the gas mileage in exchange for a lower gear ratio. The 2014 had 79 tooth rear pulley. The lower gear ratio would be an advantage on the heavier touring models with larger profile to push through the air resistance, and for riding two up.

Enjoying the throttle a little on the 16 F3T? If you're only getting 34 mpg with the RT, and now 30 with the low mileage F3T, my 2 cents is that you like to twist the throttle :) The mileage should increase on the F3T as you get more miles, but you wont get 2Dogs mileage unless you ride like him.

We also ride a 15 RT and 16 F3T but mostly cruise open roads posted at 65 limit, and enjoy the secondary twisties at 45-55 mph. When we fill up I get 38-40 MPG regularly, and the wifes F3T gets the same due to our "Easy Ryding" style. She actually usually fills with a tenth of a gallon less. But twisting the throttle, Stop and Go, higher interstate speeds and headwinds will take their toll. YMMV
