There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Oh no....not more cotter pin issues!
I have two cotter pins...if I was sure they weren't supposed to be somewhere on my bike I'd send you one, unfortunately I don't know if they are extras or not at this point. Is there a way I could look at one of them and figure out the size for you?

If it fits through the hole, with just a little play, and is long enough, it is the right size. This is not an exact science. Go to the hardware store and I'm sure you can find something by looking at them, or better yet, buy an assortment, and you will have whatever you need, whenever you need it.
