• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What should I expect upgrading to performance shocks onto my Ryker?

I am dealing with some really crappy roads here in So. Cal. Can you give me some answers as to what to expect if I spend the bucks to upgrade the shocks on my 2019 Ryker 600? I get a lot of wandering at speed when I encounter the potholes / patches and the ride at the rear is as hard as a rock.

I have absolutely ZERO experience with a Ryker, but if they are anything like the F3 and RT, changing the tires will be a major improvement.

No matter what vehicle you do this to there is always a trade off ...... some things will get better , however some things may not be what you wanted to occur. ..... Folks who design suspension systems do a hugh amount of testing to achieve a product that will work for a wide range of possibilities ....the further YOU try to narrow the criteria to suit your requirements the harder it will be to achieve it ..... most folks find they guessed wrong and return to OEM ..... The least expensive way I can thing of is with better tires and the PSI you use in them ..... good luck .... Mike

since ryker owners don't really have the option of better tires yet i suggest a baja ron sway bar to start with and see if that makes your highway speed issues more comfortable , if not it might be time to look into some after market shocks. I have added both and couldn't be happier the machine was pretty scary at highway speeds and in corners at speeds over 40 mph. It feels great now.

I have the same problem here in Austria with my 900Ace- for me the front is too low for some roads here - maybe you take longer/stiffer shocks .. I have a good feeling with them ..

Chris, after I got my 2014 RT I designed brackets ( pics in one of my albums - the white ones ) .... that changed the shock/spring angle ... this improved the handling without altering the comfortable ride .... I deliberately kept the same ride height - however I could have made it lower or higher ..... I shaped mine to fit inside the OEM shock area of the frame - it's literally LOCKED in .... From what I've seen of the Ryker frame this could also be done to raise your frame ( ground clearance ) and improve the handling ..... If I can find someone willing to let me use their Ryker as a test mule I could make you a set ...... good luck .... Mike
