• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Hello!

I found this SAE connector, does anyone know what it is for?

Accessories plug (I hope so!) or battery charging?

You might check it with a multi-meter, but it's likely, as woods and trikermuthr said, a direct connection to your battery. So it's both yes to your original question.

Well....

not looking like any heated gear plugs I have been around but could be. I would think it is more likely a battery connection. If you can get to your battery you will see the connection there...

Oh... So, can I plug my USB adapter for my cell?

Does your USB adapter have the same type of plug? As the picture indicates it maybe a 12 VDC source direct from the battery.

As DGoebel stated a volt meter would help to see if that plug still has power to it.

But most just use it for a battery tender hookup point.

I tested with a multi-meter, it's a direct connection to the battery. I guess I can use it for my USB connector (it has a SAE connector on the other side) but it looks like the polarity is reversed!? I don't want to damage my cell... I should probably follow the wires to the battery and see how they are connected.

It looks like an addon to my Spyder but I'm surprised since previous owner did not make any modification...!
