There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I sure this has been asked before but I tried several searches. What is the part number for the new replacement front sprocket and bolt? Thanks

I got this post by T.P. from one if the many earlier threads on the Sprocket recall, found by typing 'Sprocket' into the Search field (top Right, just below the Lamonster Garage logo ;) ); clicking the 'Search Titles Only' box; & then submitting the Search:

MY RE-POST

THE NEW REPLACEMENT SPROCKET IS SILVER

I have a copy of the Warranty Bulletin #2019-10 rev 1 September29,2022
Required parts, front sprocket kit, (includes washer)219800553 needed 1
listed as screw 250001017 needed 1
use loctite 609 or 603 torque to 111 lbf-ft +-4
No cure time listed.

CHECK THE NUMBERS ON YOUR DEALER PAPERWORK!

Way too much misinformation on this issue since the start of the problem,
We need everyone on the same page in the same book.

Please note: There's been a lot of discussion about the colour of the new/replacement Sprocket - some call it Silver; some call it Pewter; some call it a Greenish Pewter like Silver and there's probably more color descriptions out there....
But regardless of what colour some may think it is &/or describe it as, this new/replacement Sprocket is the ONLY Sprocket supplied by BRP to date that comes with a shallow machined recess/surface around the splined hole on the back and a washer that mates up with this to go between the sprocket and the transmission case. :lecturef_smilie: All the other Sprockets, whatever colour they may be; Black, White, or any other colour/shade you might perceive &/or want to call it, DON'T have the machined bit on the back and they DON'T come with & NEED that washer to go in there!

So if your 'new/replacement Sprocket' DOESN'T come with that machined section AND the washer, then it's NOT the latest 'new/replacement washer! :banghead:

Just Sayin'

According to canamoemparts.com the sprocket is 705503239 and the bolt is 250001017. That's for a 2017 F3.

Chip, the “new” (recall) front sprocket was not available in 2017, so those part numbers are misleading;). The part numbers for the new sprocket are detailed above in Peter’s post:thumbup:

As Peter says above, the recall sprocket is 3 parts…….bolt, sprocket with recess, and washer (to fit in recess)…..and it was not available before around Oct ‘22.

I have the same part numbers as you, but I've had those written down for almost 2 years now. So I believe these numbers are not correct. I was hoping that someone that has the recall done would have the correct part numbers from the service write up.:dontknow::dontknow::dontknow:

Another thing, with BRP still doing updates you might not be able to purchase the parts.

That's how it is with the brake light/spring kit for the 2020 & 2021's. Some were sold before BRP instructed all dealers not to sell them and to use them for recalls only.
Or so I've been told by countless dealers in the last month or so.

What am I missing here. What is see the the part number for a washer and a screw but not the part number of the front sprocket. All you are saying is the front sprocket kit and no part number for the sprocket.:lecturef_smilie::lecturef_smilie::lecturef_smilie:

REALLY!! The correct part numbers are posted above. :roflblack:
T.P.

I never cease to be amazed at those who believe the last post they see contains all relevant information pertaining to a thread, and respond to that, rather than at least skimming through earlier posts, T.P. …..it’s just a mindset, I guess.
p.s. Thanks for posting the actual part numbers for the recall fix.

Ex Rocket, T.P. is saying the front sprocket “kit” includes a washer. The “kit” is obviously the sprocket + the washer, as it would be useless to buy one without the other. You then also order the screw, and apply Loctite 609 or 603. Hope this makes it a little more clear.

You are fixating too much on the word 'kit' :banghead:

Since the front sprocket has now been deemed to REQUIRE that washer in order for it not to fail, the sprocket and washer necessary to affect the recall are being provided ONLY AS A KIT that includes both, and T.P.'s post reflects that.

If you want the sprocket for the recall, you MUST GET THE 'KIT', which is both the sprocket AND the washer that the sprocket is useless without & in fact, won't fit &/or work properly without!! :lecturef_smilie:

So the numbers you want Ex-Rocket, are these:

Make sense now?? :dontknow:

But do note K80's post too; it's unlikely that you'll be able to buy these parts from Can-Am until after the bulk of the bikes identified as requiring the recall as mandated have been officially done, which is only fair & reasonable, considering.

Sorry, but I'll never ask a question again.

Seriously, Ex-Rocket? Of course, that is your prerogative:thumbup:…..

But I think you have missed the point…….which is that the answer to your question had already been provided prior to your question being asked.:dontknow:.
