There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. What A Week This Has Been!!!

Haven't been on the computer much this week!!

Last Thursday, my older dog Mollie (she'll be 5 in February, the younger will be 5 in December), injured her leg. She had injured it about a year and a half ago, so I figured that was aggravated again. By Monday she was pretty much NOT using that leg (back right one). I figured a run to the vet was in order.

Yeah, I take her to the vet's Monday afternoon and find out she blew out her knee!!! Tore the cruciate ligament!!!:shocked::shocked:

Dropped her off Tuesday for surgery..... She did really well with it!! She had to spend the night at the vet's and couldn't come home until yesterday.

In the mean time, work calls me after 3 pm Tuesday to tell me I have Wednesday off for union business (I'm unfortunately a union steward). Nice of them to let me know less than 24 hours before I have to be at this arbitrators' hearing!!! :banghead: We still don't have a contract.... It's a mess.... Anyway, I made it known I was out of there at 4:30 no matter what!! Didn't tell them why--it's none of their business!!!

Picked Mollie up around 4:45 (after paperwork, instructions and such). She was VERY loopy, but glad to be getting out of there!!

She's much more alert today. Using all 4 legs to get around most of the time!!! YAY!!!! I called in sick for today. I just couldn't see leaving her here without knowing how she was getting around and such. Plus I got very little sleep last night and have a giant headache!!! Work can live without me for a day. I'll go back and tick off the boss tomorrow--I have to file a grievance..... :gaah: I need a new job..... Or just not be a union steward any more!!

Sorry to hear of the drama in your life. Pet will get better and job situation will improve after a few days. It is amazing how everything comes at us at one time.

Union steward is a tough position--you are always going to be ticking someone off. I sure would not do it.

Hope all gets better soon.

Thanks!!

I'm thinking I'm giving up the whole union steward thing once we have a contract. I have someone bugging me about it all the time. If she's so interested, she can do it her own :cus: self!!! :bdh: That'll teach her!! ;)

As for Miss Mollie, she's improving with every passing hour!!

I had two Newf's Both blew their Cruciate. So i know what your going though, I hope your guy doesn't weigh as much as my guys did. 2 hundred + each.. The hard part was was keeping them off their legs for a few weeks.

Yikes!! That's a LOT of dog there!!

Mollie is a beagle mix. Mostly beagle, some basset hound, and we think a little spaniel mixed in there. No one knows for sure. Her mom was found wandering in a scrap yard with a broken leg! Someone tossed her out of a car--we think. Mollie weighs 53 lbs--that's heavy enough!!

Rocky is the younger of the two. He is beagle and jack russell. He only weighs about 40 lbs.

My vet wanted her up and using her leg, and she's doing just that! Little stinker even got herself onto the couch earlier!! I saw her do that with only one good back leg before the surgery. She's good about being careful, but I don't like it either way!

She keeps improving every day. YAY!!!

And my week just keeps getting "better".

My parents had to put down their dog yesterday...... :(

Gracie is Mollie's sister..... Gracie was supposed to be my dog as well. I was going to have them both, but my dad fell in love with Gracie, so they got her. She had a massive urinary tract infection, severe diabetes (which must have developed within the last month) and her cancer was back. She had a lump removed this spring. They got it all, but they think it had a chance to spread on the inside. I keep checking Mollie for lumps all the time just to make sure.... My neighbor has another sister from that litter. She had a cancerous lump removed over the summer as well..... Had to tell them about Gracie last night and told them to keep an eye on Cocoa.

Eeeesh!!! I hope this is the end of the "bad stuff" for a while....

Sorry about your moms dog I know how it is to have to put your friend down. Wishing all GOOD stuff to happen to Mollie. She sounds like a great friend and companion. Good luck with her.
