• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

West Coast Powersports is a freaking awesome dealer.

So... I'm on my south east tour of SC, GA, FL, and TN.

Just south of Jacksonville, FL after leaving Docriverside's house, my O2 sensor went south as well, though I didn't realize it at the time.

By time I hit Daytona Beach the Spyder was running really odd. Felt like she wasn't getting enough fuel or a cylinder was miss firing when at constant RPM. She still pulled hard under full throttle. Lastly, my oil catch can mod was barfing oil out through the breather and I was down 1/3 of a quart. That was probably due to the rough running.

Ran over to Forest's house in Kissimmee and on Sunday I replaced both plugs just in case they were fouled by bad gas. ( I didn't know it was a bad O2 sensor at the time) Forest showed me how to check the purge valve, and that checked out ok. The Y gaskets seemed to be solid too.

Forest was guessing that it was probably the O2 sensor. Made sense. I had also gotten two check engine lights in that past week of travel.

Come Tuesday, we ran from Kissimmee over to Clearwater to West Coast Powersports to have the Spyder looked at. Now... Listen to this....

They took in right in. Hooked up to BUDs and it showed a bad O2 sensor. They had the sensor in stock. They had it installed in one hour, and adjusted my parking brake while they were at it. Next they rolled in Forest's Spyder and changed the oil and we were on the way to lunch.

Many... Many... Many thanks to West Coast Powersports. Ben and Joe there are top notch just like Doc and Forest told me. Thank-you Doc for telling them I was coming in with a sick Spyder from out of state. I'm still amazed at the speed of service and that they stocked the part.

I'm now spending my last night in the Tampa area, and am heading out to see a couple more friends before I potentially boogie north to Atlanta. Need to be in Atlanta Saturday before Easter.

I'll write more about my trip and post some pics when I have better internet and am not so tired.

Spyder still seems a bit flaky.... But I think it is my mind playing tricks on me at this point... Bit paranoid.

Oh... And I hit a new top speed for my Spyder today... I was following Doc of course. :)

When you are on the road, you will find the most generous people. I think that the dealerships put the road warriors to the front of the line.

My rear break went out coming into El Paso, the the dealership bent over backwards getting it fixed along with finding another place along our route that had a speed pickup sensor. Didn't know how fast I was going between Abilene Tx, and Phoenix AZ.

Miracles and good people are found on the road...

Glad to hear the dealership was able to get things taken care of quickly for you. I hope you continue to have a safe trip, and the Spyder behaves itself from here on out.
