Lamonster RIP foot boards installed, IPS key cover installed, ram ball covers installed.....off for a test ride........oooops, gone too far, have to do a U turn. Half way round, the Spyder shuts down and beeps for "no handbrake".....glide to a halt safely, luckily......can't see anything wrong.....head off again....."I'll just try another U turn in this quiet street".......around at full lock....shut down....beeps for "no handbrake"
After much head scratching and realising that the "no handbrake" is telling me something, I realise that I must somehow be switching off the ignition........a little more hunting reveals the culprit.....the GPS mount has the cable passed under it. When you turn the bars full lock, the loop in the GPS cable catches the fins on on the IPS key cover, and very sneakily turns the ignition off........bummer.......lucky it didn't happen on a busy road. I even had a look to make sure everything cleared ok when I installed it, but obviously not at full lock.
......off now to work on a solution.
