• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Well I just found out (Steering)

that my steering knuckle bolt/nut was loose.

I have been noticing the play in my steering getting slightly more and more lately. Maybe a 1/4 - 1/2 play while stopped or while driving.

SOOO I went out as others on the site have suggested and tightened the clamp bolt/nut and it took a majority of the play I was feeling in the handlebars away.

You will need either two people to do it or as in my case I have way to many hand tools :roflblack:. I let my socket wrench hang down until it hit the A-Arms then went to the nut side and began to tighten up the nut.

I was able to get a couple of turns or more before it tightened up.

So for those that have some play or some that don't you may want to check to may sure it is tight.

Thanks....

Glad you found the problem and shared the solution. Need more of this, now many have a place to check when steering is feeling loose..:bowdown:

I am assuming you are talking about items 11 and 13. Is that correct? Also there are 2 of them. Are you tightening both of them?

Correct 11 and 13 I have only done the lower bolt as in your visual posted. The upper bolt is more involved and was not done at this time..
