welcome:yes::2excited::spyder::firstplace:
so i had to take my spyder to dealer where i bought it from exactly 2 weeks ago because of a problem with the gear indicator which i believe is the gear position sensor....everytime i drive it in first gear the "n" light blinks and at times the "r" light blinks and the bike stalls bc it tries to shift to reverse...anyone had this simillar problem? And also, it seems to be getting very poor mpg...one tank of premium gas and it lasted me approx 120 miles...and i dont even drive it past 7000 rpm..whats up with that?
Somebody else had this problem quite a while back on an SM5. In reality, it shouldn't be able to try to shift to reverse, since that requires pulling the lockout lever, and it is a mechanical shifter. Probably the computer killing it due to conflicting signals. The previous owner reported that his would kill when the sensor acted up. The Spyder doesn't like to sense forward motion or loss of traction when it thinks it is in reverse.so i had to take my spyder to dealer where i bought it from exactly 2 weeks ago because of a problem with the gear indicator which i believe is the gear position sensor....everytime i drive it in first gear the "n" light blinks and at times the "r" light blinks and the bike stalls bc it tries to shift to reverse...anyone had this simillar problem?
