There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Weight Limit on F3 Limited

I am close to pulling the trigger on a ‘17 F3L but am concerned about the weight carrying capacity. When 2 up, my wife, myself and a reasonable amount of luggage will put us close or even little over the “max vehicle load” capacity listed in the specs. How big of a concern is this? Is there anything I should do to minimize any negative issues and/or improve ride and handling when loaded....like a upgrade shock and spring ? I would appreciate anyone’s experience or insight. Btw I’m coming off of a big Victory touring bike where I was also close to weight limit. A little extra tire and shock air pressure and over 30k miles and no issues.

The :ani29: is NOT going to self destruct if you push the weight limits a bit.

For sure, there is a built in "safety" factor.

I would add a couple pounds of air to the rear tire.
Ride a few hundred miles. See how it feels and behaves. And ride sensibly until you are very comfortable with the handling of your Spyder.
A heavier rear shock may be a good idea.
And maybe leave some stuff at home till you get used to it.

The F3L has a rear air bladder. Just check the specs (mine are under the passenger seat) the set the air pressure accordingly..

The rear air shock is automatically adjusted on the 17 F3 LTD. No need to upgrade. You could upgrade the front shocks to an Elka Stage 2 that is set for the intended weight. Either way you will need to get the feel for the breaking. I would also add a Baja Ron sway bar. The power steering on that spyder is also the upgraded version that is easier to steer at slow speeds.
Also you might look at Spyderpops rear seat extention that will add 5 inches to your passenger area.

Gary, I am putting 330lbs on the 2016 F3-L by myself. If you add my wife, that’s 450lbs with no luggage. The newer shocks on the 2016/17 do handle that pretty well, but we got the very rare “bottom out”. I upgraded to a Wilbers HD rear and that has gone. I also upgraded to a car tyre on the rear (as many others have done as the stock Kenda is not a solid tyre). It runs perfectly. I am also coming off a big touring Victory (Vision)
