• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I somehow convinced the wife that I wanted to ryde my sypder down from Lower Saucon, PA to hilton head/bluffton SC. To see my parents. Which meant she would have to drive the car alone with the kids when she comes down.

I picked up a full rain gear suit just In case and went to cyclegear and bought 99$ duffle bag onsale for $50. Got little saddle bag for 100. And they all fit. Loaded on bag with snacks, tools in the other and clothes in the duffle. And away I went!!!

Left at noon arrived at 2:28 am. I got detoured away from 95 and sent forever on this road called 301 ( horrible road)

Once I hit middle og NC it was a straight shot of 88-90 ( I may have gone faster but I was later at night and couldn't see cops)

But I gotta tell you..What a fun trip!!!

Things that saved me:
2 sets of gloves to change things around on the hands
Throttle lock. Best 16 bucks spent

This was my first trip ever on the spyder. For anyone having doubts about doing one...just do it! It's a blast. For rs owners I recommend getting a throttle locking device (I used a vista cruise and modified it) and the 1 inch handle bar risers ( or 3+ ones)

Now at 6k looks like I need a new back tire. Maybe I'll order one from tirerack while I'm down here. Hehe

Drive safe and take that trip!!
