• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

website for rims

I am selling my 2019 F3 base model to my best friends wife and just purchased a 2017 F3 limited yesterday. Short version of the story, my wife wants to ride with me now. My friends wife wanted to get a F3 after taking mine for a ride a few times. Win win for both of us and I still get to ride 2019 every once in awhile, if I like.:ohyea:

Anyways, the new F3 limited I purchased has Chrome rims, which I am not a big fan of. I got a really good deal on the bike and it only has 3300 miles on it. So I am looking for suggestions on black out rims. I looked at sling mods for rims, is there any other site for Can Am Spyder rims? I have tried searching but I keep getting car rims sites. Would like suggestions on sites and/or what kind of aftermarket rims you may have bought?

PPA wheels sell rims for Spyders, https://ppawheels.com/. You can also get black rims from BRP or have your current rims painted black. Check for paint shops that paint wheels.

Thank you! I will check out the site. I didn't realizes you could paint chrome rims. I am going to look into that because I do like the design of the chrome rims and think they would look cool blacked out

Painting CHROME is tricky .... Adhesion of paint to chrome is the issue .... also paint, even epoxy is softer ... consult an Auto Paint specialist or consider powder coating ..... good luck ... let us know how this turns out ..... Mike

Good point Blueknight, I would probably have to have a specialist do it. The more I think about it, I am leaning towards yours and Trikermutha idea of Powder coating them, there are a couple of places near me. Thanks for all the great Ideas. It will be a couple of weeks before the bike is shipped to me. However, I will take pictures and show you how they turned out.:2thumbs: thanks everyone who posted, all great ideas:2thumbs:

Again, I want to thank everyone, this has gone in a different direction than what I was originally thinking, so, Thank you!

I spoke with the powder coating company and he suggested doing the chrome(nose, side chrome and wheels) in a burgundy metallic which I like. The question I have, do you know if the chrome nose can come off in the grill? My bike is in the process of being shipped so I can not look at it to see if it can come off.
