• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Weak battery causing VSS and ABS errors

I knew I have a weak battery when I put my Spyder in the basement this past fall. I bought the Oddyssey 680 gel battery per recommendation from this site but have yet to put it in since the old battery still have enough juice to power the lights so I can test the new ones I am installing. Usually I run a trickle charger to it but I had to use the same extension for the x-mas candles by the windows so it was left off the charger for about a month. Last night, just for haha's I decided to switch on the key to see the Spyder power up and gotten the ABS and VSS errors after the initial msg. I had a feeling that battery power level is the main cause and decided to test that theory. Threw the charger on it over night and tried the power up again this morning .... well, what ya know .... both the VSS and ABS errors went away. Very interesting .... thought I'd share that here.:D

New Oddyssey is going in right before my first ride in the spring so its nice and fresh.

had the same issue with mine , was charging th rv batteries on 6 volt and changed it over to the spyder , forgot to switch to 12 volt and blammo, faults up the WHOOHA, since fixed the problem and hope do not require a new battery in the spring but if required, guess live and learn. waiting for spring, however the snowbanks outside over 6 foot will indicate a long wait.
