We finally got our Spyder back after being in the shop for just a little over a month. We now have a new stator, flywheel, magneto, voltage regulator and map sensor. Some miscommunication, dealing with BRP wanting to make sure that a new part was bad and a lot of diagnostic detective work and we now have a functioning Spyder to ride again!!!
We got the call confirming that we could get Silver this afternoon! We went with great excitement at being reunited again and we talked to them about what had been done and then they gave us the bill. It included towing our Spyder to the shop after we broke down as well as the deductible for the BEST warranty.
I did a quick glance, then a second look. The total bill for all of this? $000.00!!! No charge at all for anything! I never mentioned anything about possibly waving the tow fee or the deductible for the warranty. They did it all without a word of complaint from me or my wife.
Could things have gone more smoothly or maybe a little quicker? Probably. But it is what it is. I will say that over all my wife and I are happy. They did drop everything and attempted to get us back on the road as soon as possible the day our breakdown happened and I don't think you could expect any more. They have treated us well before, especially when we were there asking all sorts of questions about the world of Spyders.
So here's a shout out to World of Powersports in Peoria, IL. We will trust them to work on our Spyder again.
