• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Water Wetter

I did a search, sorry if this is a duplicate. It has been very high humidity here (for the desert) and an indicated 106°F - so it's hot. Although the temp gauge has never gone onto the red, it is very close. Less than one demarcation point away). I have heard that the analog gauges are not so accurate, but still too close to the red for me. Water wetter by Redline oils.

I run the bike 'til the cooling fan came on (temp gauge was quite high). I siphoned out what was in the expansion tank (which was not very much at all maybe was a little low). I poured 1/2 a bottle of water wetter in the expansion tank. Waited for the about an hour to cool the Spyder, then ran about 25 miles. It now the gauge does not go near the red (one full demarcation line farther back than it was previously), and it stays there even while I'm waiting for a traffic light. I can still hear the fan come on - so everything else is working as it should. just an FYi

Sounds great I'll have to get some. Here in Georgia it's high temperature and high humidity 8 months a year. The Spyder (09 RS) usually runs 5 bars which is normal I think for RS models. When I got mine it did not have the upper fins on the front end as it was an early 09 build. I had them installed at it helps a bit as well.

I had the same results, I would almost hit the red bar when idling in traffic on a hot day. I was able to add a full bottle of wetter water and now it stays a full bar + a bit below.

Regards,

Randy

Temps

BTW guys Humidity has no effect on heating or cooling of the engine. Humidity affects us because perspiration must evaporate to produce cooling and high humidity will interfere with that. But not on your scoot because there's nothing to evaporate.
