• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is there a limit on how many times you can wash your Spyder in a week? J

Not sure, but I would have to say that if you are washing it more than you are ryding it, I would worry.

:agree:

I thought only Harley riders with tons of chrome spent more time cleaning their bikes than they spent riding them. :D

Charity Wash

Last Saturday I was ryding and saw one of those will wash your car for free, you make a donation for charity, in this case a local high school band and I thought what the heck the spyder needs cleaned up. Big mistake. 3 teenage boys and 2 teenage girls came running over and they where so wound up asking questions about it they pretty much forgot to wash it. Bad part was I had so much fun telling them how great the ryde is I didn't really notice. Upshot is I gave them 10 bucks and then went home and washed it myself.

Bike Wash

Living in Florida, we have these things called "love bugs". They are two bugs joined together (hence the name). They make their appearance twice a year. So, everytime you take your :spyder2: out of the garage, it needs to be washed. That is unless you want to see your paint/windshield badly pitted from the gooey, smelly residue from their innards. :yikes:

Also a real good reason to wear a face shield.

I clean my :spyder2: after every ride. Here in VT the pollen is high and even though it doesn't stop for long it will get a light green coating of pollen on it. I use Honda Spray Cleaner and polish. I buy it from the local dealer here. I found a link for it on Amazon so here it is:

[ame]http://www.amazon.com/Honda-Spray-Cleaner-Polish/dp/B00383T62O[/ame]

It was recommended to me by the dealer and is safe enough to use all the time. It takes the squashed bugs right off the bike like no ones business.

I carry a spray bottle with ice carwash diluted with water and a bath towel. I wash after every ride and sometimes several times on a long run. The bugs plaster my :spyder2: and visior very bad and I just don't like looking at bugs on my visior while riding.

Although I don't "wash" my RT every day, it seem to rain every day here in Or. and I end up wiping it down at least once every day. Unfortunately I don't have a garage or cover. The upside is that I never have a dusty or dirty :spyder2:. I never ride it without wiping it down. It always looks beautiful or wet.
