• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Warranty Options & Information?!?!

I've read in the forums about the options to purchase the BEST warranty and BEST Plus warranty. Wife and I just purchased a 2012 White Limited (27 April) and when I asked about BEST Plus, they said it wasn't available for the Spyders. Also, I've seen prices just below $800 for the three year BEST warranty on the forum site; however, one dealer in Northern VA quoted $1000 and my dealer is stating $1250. Althougth I plan to get the at least the BEST warranty, I was first going to option to get the service warranty my dealer offered for $1499; however, I decided to wait until I got some reliable information. Anyone able to provide details on the BEST options and service plan options or where I can find them? Thanks!

2 yrs additional.................

My factory warranty expires 4/30/12.
I have an additional 1 yr BEST extended warranty, which was a promotion when I purchased the Spyder in April of 2010.

BRP has done away with the penalty of $75.00/yr to extend your warranty if purchased more than 60 days after the initial sale.
I just paid $689.00 to add 2 more years of BEST coverage. So I have a total of: 2 yrs factory + 3 yrs BEST. 5 years is the max BRP will cover a Spyder (factory & BEST).
$689.00 isn't a great price, but it is less than Bert's is showing in that old post. I tried to contact them and see what they might be charging now, they didn't return my calls.

There is also an extended warranty you can get from a company called Mcgraw, they will cover a Spyder for up to 5 years after the factory warranty is up. Remember for any extended warranty, you must get signed up prior to the factory warranty expiring!
I didn't go for this... just because.
