• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have a 2011 RTSM5 and yesterday had a warning message of "Check DPS" "Limp home Mode"; what is the implication of thiswarning? The message went away after stopping and restarting. Since I was riding I didn't catch the code number.

Gary:

Here's hoping your warning massage has happy ending.

Your supposed to stop & hire someone to break your leg! Then limp home afterwards! Just Kidding. Check battery/connection

Reading fault codes

\A hardy thanks to "Happyspyder2039" for the advice, but the reply from "Lyonsden" was much better (at least less painful). To access the codes three buttons are pressed at once (mode, set, and turn signal). I conducted that several times and received a blank screen. I assume that means no fault codes are present (?).

That's about what we figured would happen...
When you pull the codes up; it'll only show active codes: The stuff going wrong, right at that moment...
All codes do get stored in the system, but it take the dealer's BUDS unit, to pull them out of "cold storage"...

Are you still running on the original battery? The DPS unit is about the single largest user of electrical power on the bike... If the battery starts to show it's age; it'll often show up with DPS warnings first.
