• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

WANTED: plug & play horn for RS and RT

Spyder Cat

New member
So, he says 'what do you want for your birthday?'
She says 'I want to be heard! . . . I want a different horn on the RS and RT.'
He says 'find one that's a plug and play, and you got it!'

So, Spyderlovers . . . which do you recommend? and where do I get it???

:doorag::2excited:

somebody asked for your opinion . . . and no takers?
that's gotta be a first :roflblack: :roflblack:
help me out here :D

Contrary to the general consensus, I installed a Stebel, without using a relay, and have not had a problem with it. I had to drill an extra hole in the stock bracket to bolt the new horn on, but that was about it. The wiring plugged right in, if memory serves.(But sometimes it doesn't do so well, that memory thingy!)

I believe Inspector Gadget did the same. He has had no trouble, AFAIK.

SIDE NOTE: How far is Grants Pass from Sutherlin/Oakland? We are around 90% sure we will be moving there next May. :)

How cool! it's about 80 miles, little over an hour, depending on who's driving.
Be sure to get in touch when you get here!!!

I'll check out the Stebel. thanks!!:2thumbs:

 Thanks!!! found them both on Amazon.

Can these be swapped out with the stock horn on the RT?
can we use the same relay and or existing wiring?

I did the same thing.. the compact Stebel worked just fine without the relay.

My fuse blew using Stebel.

I installed the Stebel as well and blew a fuse one day when I held the horn down for an extended period of time.
Not like a minute or anything but a long burst blew the fuse.
I did not use the relay either.
No big deal but just be careful.
