• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It's that time of year again to get fired up about the winter riding season.

Here is a video with some nice vintage sleds. I love those old Arctic Cats with the cat skin seats. I didn't see my first sled in here ('70 ski-doo Olympic), but there is a '69 Olympic, close enough.
I also had a '73 ski-doo 440 Silver Bullet I sold in 1996. I wish I still had that sled. It was in mint condition when I sold it.

i'm still looking to buy a 1969 or 1970 skidoo (my first ride) that is in mint condition or that has been restored just for memories sake and days like shown in the video. currently riding renegade 600 e-tec, but sometimes would just like to kick back and remember the golden days! thanks for the post!!!

 Brought more than a tear to my eyes to see that gorgeous old iron...
That '69 Oly looked sweet! (Your's was a 335 with hoodscoops if it was a '70...)
'75 TX440
'71 Oly...I had a 300; that one might have been the 335 or 399
Bolens, Chapparal, Rupp, Evinrude, mercury, Snow Jet...

I can't stand it; Thanks for the wondrouse memories!! :2thumbs:

Vintage sled show in Fulton, NY in Feb. '14. The club is starting to work on it. Went to Wheel-a-Way on the RT the other day, brought home a new set of carbides for the Yamaha!

Bob,
Do they have vintage sleds for sale their too??
(looking for a '68 Ski Doo Super Olympique, any '67 Scorpion, a '76 Mercury Trail Twister, or even a '76 Rupp Nitro 440)

The video brings back memories also. Never got invested in snowmobiles--even though I lived in Minnesota during the 60's. My sons had a used Evinrude and a Boa Ski. By the time they bought them, they were well used and needed repairs almost every time they were ridden. I was into my first motorcycles in those days--so that's where my money went.
