Vacationing in Hawaii

My wife & I are planning a mid-October trip to Hawaii (Big Island) and are thinking of a bike rental for one day while there. We would obviously prefer a Spyder RT, but don't expect to find one. We'll probably be renting a larger displacement tour bike.

We would appreciate recommendations on rental stores or dealers - pro or con. We'd rather not enter into this blind

I do believe there was someone on here who rented a spyder while in Hawaii. You should try googling spyder rental in Hawaii.

Here I am. Currently--no Spyders for rent on any of the islands. Maui had one, but Rando posted recently that they have divested from their Spyder. To many issues was the reason given.

All the islands seem to have one or two motorcycle rental dealers. Have not heard anything bad. Get a HD and have a blast. That seems to be the most popular rental bike. Recommend doing your reservation in advance--that way, you get better choice. Plan on $150 or so a day. $$--but worth it IMO.

I wish I could afford to open a BRP dealership on Maui and have Spyder rentals available. The roads and scenery are something everyone on the mainland needs to experience at least once in their lifetime! Unfortunately we have to leave paradise Wednesday evening.

I think a Slingshot on Maui would be awesome!
