• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Utility box for my Spyder

We are always looking for new ways to store or carry items so i went on a hunt to find a small hard sided case that would fit in the saddlebag of my Spyder for small tools, first aid items, tools or whatever one needs to carry with them.

For $7.99 + tax i found this craftsman tool box that fits perfectly in the left saddle bag without sliding around and i still have room at the top for a small jacket, gloves or whatever.

Don't know the model # because i forgot to write it down before disposing of the cardboard that it was wrapped in but the dimensions are 14" wide X 7 1/2" Deep X 6 1/2'' Tall.

Remember that the right side saddle bag is deeper than the left side. (Did you know that???)

I know, I know ................ we need photo's ....................... here they are. you would be surprised at how much stuff fits in one little case. :yikes:

box2.jpg This is the case Box1.jpg this is the case in the left saddle bag, nice solid fit.

OK, OK Hold down the applause. :D

Thanks to DJFaninTN, here is more info.

Thanks for posting about the utility box. A good idea. I have all kinds of loose stuff in my frunk and saddle bags. Going to see about getting one of those boxes.

Softside Craftsman Bag

I use a small softside Craftsman tool bag, Part No #37535 according to the "Made in China" tag inside it.

It fits in the bottom of the right-side saddlebag and is just tall enough so that my 1 gallon Roto-Pax gas can lays on top of it and the lid will shut properly.

OK, I had to go and measure the two saddlebags cuz I did not know there was a difference??? they are both the same size on the exterior, however the left one has some molded body part inside that makes it a bit smaller.
Just an FYI, I found two Ozark Trails coolers at WalMart for under $10 each that fit very comfy in my saddlebags and holds all of our beverages for the longer rides.
