• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Update on rear fender

I weny to a custom cycle shop here in Charleston and had them weld it for me,they had some trouble as the metal is so thin they had to use a low power welder so they would not burn through it and was able to do it but could not reinforce it,they said it would break next to the reinforced area. I don't understand why BRP wont make a better fender, this is for safety, not just looks:banghead:

Really..!!!

which fender..?? You may need a better welder. Glad you got it done and your good to go once again..!!

it's the rear fender and both BRP and BEST won't cover the repair. it's a 2011 RS and the BRP warranty expired in July,BEST only covers drivetrain not body parts so it was get it welded or do without as I can't afford to buy another crappy fender that would also break.

SAME PROBLEM

Not that this helps you now but, I have an 08 GS and back when it was reported that this was showing up as a problem area, I took mine apart. It had a little RUST so I cleaned it, sprayed it with RUSTOLEUM rust converter and then painted it. I have checked it the past two years and it looks OK so far. PS I also put some silicone between the pieces before I bolted them back together,......maybe this keeps the moisture out ???????......Mike

Getting rid of mine was the Best mod I made- Mine was about to dig into my rear tire before I noticed it?
Looks Lean and "Mean!"
