• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ultimate Seat Too Slippery for Passenger...

BLACK REV 800 X

New member
I just purchased and installed tonight an Ultimate tall boy seat on my 2013 RTS. Took a quick 20 minute ride tonight and my wife felt that it was too slippery compared to the BRP seat and she didn't feel as comfortable and didn't stay in place... Has anyone else encountered this and what solution did you come up with? For me it was a big improvement but time will tell as I am 6' 4". Thanks for any advice on this one.

depends on what material you selected to have it made from. we have one and it is kind of a dimpled leatherette material, and the wife loves it. no slipping or sliding for her!:dontknow:

NEW SEATS

Hi Dave here,
all new seats... even in your car will be slippery for a while until the seat surface is
used and wiped off with your butt... some materials come with silicone, " that is a polymer" on the surface and it has to waire off, you can try using rubbing alcohol but test it on an area were it does not show just incase it attacks the dye and removes it, if you use a white cloth and do not see any color on it from the seat just give it a quick wipe down and then try it...
NEVER-NEVER-NEVER use Armarol on a seat.... it great for tires but not the seat ever.
good luck
Dave:)

Our solution to this problem is....

..a square piece of Black (or White) rubber-type material that is used for shelf liner - available at Wal-Mart. Called "Easyliner". Pat uses it to sit on and places the square of material inside her helmet when not riding. Cheap fix and works for her.

Ultimate seat for two weeks now. No complaints, here! Took a couple hundred miles before it felt much different from the original, but now she's sweeeeet!

Sheepskin.jpg I put a sheepskin pad on my RT Limited stock seat . . . really comfortable. I am sure someone out there makes one for the entire seat, or just the passenger . . .
