• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi All,
Has anyone out there fitted a rear tyre size 225 60 15, as here in the UK there is a lot more to pick from, I see lots seem to fit 175 55 15 on the fronts, thanks in advance for your help.

There are riders out here in Aus using 225/60, Nasty....Kuhmo KH17, Bridgestone Turanza. I am running the Kuhmo KH17 175/60 on the front with no issues........BUT......the issue is that you can't rely on the spec alone. Just because it is a "225" doesn't mean is really is 225 across as the manufacturers measure their tyres differently. There's a "205" that has the same dimensions as the stock Kenda, for example.

To save yourself some work, find out what UK riders are using and get one of those. Believe me, I've just been through it......and.....I'm no expert, so this is just my experience.

There is a thread I started that covers a lot of this....with input by those who know...

I put a Kumho Ecsta 205 55 15 on my RT this year. In comparison to the original, it is about .79 inches narrower and only .02 inches larger in diameter.

I've had that size on my RS; really tight fit to the rear fender but it never rubbed. And is corrected the speedometer error up to 75MPH!!

As Pete mentioned, I'm one of those running a 225/60R15 on the rear & 175/60R15's up front; both ends are Kumho Solus KH17's; but (again as Pete mentioned), you really do need to check the ACTUAL physical dimensions of each tire you might consider to ensure they'll fit, as the actual size can differ a whole lot from the 'Nominal size' printed on the sidewall!!

See the pics - excuse the dirty Spyder tho, we are away from home ryding. ;)
